I have lost my whole upper task bar and my Customizing key (print, delete everything, etc) has disappeared. How do I get it back? Is it an addon?

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Make sure you do not run Firefox in Full Screen Mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

When you are in Full Screen Mode, hover the mouse to the top of the screen to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. You can use one of these to leave Full Screen Mode:

  • press the F11 key
  • click the Maximize button at the right end of the Tab bar
  • click the Full Screen button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list
  • right-click empty space on a toolbar and click "Exit Full Screen Mode"

My question was not about screen size but thinks for trying. my question was about getting the tools icons on my tool for things like screen print, quick log out, compression of YOUTUBE movie/song, etc. Here is the EXACT answer to my questions. In less that 2 minutes I was able to set everything up.

Customize the overflow menu or the toolbar

Now the bigger question. On the last release of Firefox, why was "Customize" left off the right hand tools list? Making me hunting the thing down in the community! Can we get it back?

You can find Customize Toolbar if you right-click the "3-bar" Firefox menu button or on empty space in the toolbar area or in the View menu (View -> Toolbars).

  • you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily

In the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list you can find Customize under "More tools".
