1000MB+ Memory usage with only 5 tabs open!?

I will have only 5 tabs open and it will go up to around 1000-1100 MB. I have tried refreshing Firefox a bunch, uninstall and reinstall extensions, clearing the memory in about:memory, and have tried getting help on reddit as well. I love the look and snappiness of Firefox, and want to use it badly, but can't due to this fact. Can someone help me?

  • Disable resource consuming extensions and themes
  • Hide intrusive content
  • Check Firefox hardware acceleration
  • Reduce the content process limit
  • Close other applications
  • Delete content-prefs.sqlite file
  • Use additional troubleshooting tools
  • Firefox tools
  • Operating system tools
  • Add RAM to your computer
  • Upgrade your computer
