I have had a problem for over a month now and can't find a solution. I noticed first when using Facebook. If reading posts and comments there is no problem, usually. However, when accessing my home tab more posts show with videos attached. In a very short time the scrolling down becomes very slow and then freezes whether I look at any video or not. When this happens I cannot move to any tabs without delays. If I close the facebook tab (sometimes without being able to sign out) firefox improves. I don't know if the cause of problems is Firefox add-on Facebook Container or if Bitdefender security is slowing things up, or if it is another reason. I am not a computer expert so need answers in simple terms but has anybody else had to deal with this. Thanks for any help.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

MemTest LAST UPDATED : 12/04/2020 Could you please run a tool from http://memtest.org/ in order to check the integrity of your RAM?

You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on.

Do you let Windows handle the page file or did you set a fixed size ? If you use a fixed size for the page file then try the former and let Windows handle the page file. How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows {web link}

Thank you to FredMcD for the reply. I am slowly working through the suggestions. It is difficult as the freezing always happens late at night and then it becomes nearly impossible to try the suggestions as every command takes forever.
