I tested email import using ImportExportToolsNG 10.0.2 on Thunderbird 78.5.1. I got partial import using both Import messages and Import all messages in a directory. In one case 2 of 3 messages imported. In another case 20 of 25 messages imported. I could see the original .eml files where I stored them on the desktop but not all transferred. I'm just starting with Thunderbird. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Thanks.

Chosen solution

The drag and drop method works for multiple eml files.

Using the add-on, did you import to Local Folders?

Version 10.0.4 of the add-on has some fixes for eml import. Or, you can import by dragging eml files from an Explorer folder and dropping them onto a subfolder of Local Folders in TB.

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried version 10.0.4. It behaved exactly the same as 10.0.2, 2 of 3 messages in 1 folder and 20 of 25 in the other. The one at a time dragging method works. Not as convenient as I have lots of emails to move but I only have to do it once. Don't think I can combine methods unless I find a pattern to the missed emails.

Yes, I imported to 2 local folders I created. I tried selecting multiple files, then drag and dropped the group. It worked great. Thanks so much.
