I have lost the use of my other email address, <mellsbells@onetel.com> since September, no new emails coming in, can't open existing emails, can't send emails. I am told this is a server problem. What can I do? please help. My other email address is still working OK<mellsbells77@gmail.com> C. Ian Hayes.

I presume it just says connecting or similar in Status bar and does nothing.
If you updated to use version 78 then it might be caused by a TLS issue. Thunderbird updated settings to use the up to date TLsv1.2, so if server is using an old TLSv1.0 or TLSv1.1 then connection will fail.
So try this:
- In Menu app icon > Options > General
- Scroll forever to the bottom and click on 'Config Editor'
- accept the risk
- In search type: tls.version
- look for this line : security.tls.version.min
- Double click on line to open an edit window and enter the number 1
- click on OK.
- Exit window - top right x
This will set that preference back to the same level as used automatically in version 68*.
- Restart Thunderbird.
