Syncing thunderbird portable - relay offline messages through portable
I will travel soon to a region where internet access is very limited, especially in the form of wifi. This means I will have to rely strongly on internet cafes to write emails. To not spend a lot of time in the cafe answering mails, I would like to - receive emails on my accounts using Thunderbird Portable on a thumbdrive in the internet cafe - sync these to my linux Thunderbird installation on my laptop and use this to answer - sync the offline composed messages to the Portable edition and send them the next time I am in an internet cafe.
I know two options to solve this issue: - Manually copying the profiles of the installations. I fear to crash anything; also this file is really, really big in my case. - Using Thunderbird Portable to compose the mails offline - this relies on Windows or Wine, which I would like to avoid.
Is there any way without these downsides to solve my issue? Help, ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.

I am not aware of any profile sync of any sort, so I think you already have a good handle on the options available to you.
Thank you Matt!
