Firefox randomly keeps going black. All tabs simultaneously go black. Issue independent of site being visited. Checked to make sure that the system was up to date including all plugins and drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Thanks FredMcD! I used Firefox in Safe Mode for a day followed by using under Normal Mode for a day. My issue seems to have disappeared by itself since. I didn't do anything special. No add-ons have been disabled. Just wanted to let you know and convey my gratitude. Thanks a lot.

It could have been a corrupt file that was overwritten.
