Since renaming the folders, have you: Quit Thunderbird and then restarted it? Reboot your computer?

Yes, I have logged out of Thunderbird and rebooted my computer several times. Still doe snot show the files.

Are you using IMAP or POP?

IMAP means that Thunderbird is showing the folders and messages that are on the server.

POP means that Thunderbird asks for all the messages from the server, saves them on your computer, then tells the server to delete them.

If you are using IMAP, then log into your webmail and check to see what the folder names are there, whether they got changed there or not. If not, then rename them using webmail.

NOTE: Do not change the names of special folders like Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Trash, etc.

You have an add-on installed called "Test Pilot for Thunderbird". That add-on was discontinued awhile back. Go to Thunderbird menu: Tools: Add-ons: Extensions, and remove it.

I don't know if it might cause problems at all, but since it is of no use now, it is better to remove it. Then quit and restart Thunderbird.

Then right-click your e-mail address on the left side of Thunderbird and choose "Subscribe". Make sure that you are subscribed to the correct folders. After any change to the subscribed folders, quit and restart Thunderbird.

If there is still a problem, then create a new "account" in Thunderbird for the same e-mail address. The new account may retrieve the correct IMAP folder names.

1. Thunderbird menu: Tools: Account Settings

2. Select your e-mail address and then change the "Account Name" on the right side to something other than your e-mail address.

3. Click the "Account Actions" button on the bottom left and choose "Add Mail Account".

4. Add your e-mail account info.

If the new "account" works better in Thunderbird, then use it from now on.
