Dear community,

A question from a Dutch beginner user of Mozilla.

Suddenly all the favicons/icons standing before the bookmarks on my mobile are gone. I make use of Android Firefox. I did make a reset, installed the newest FF but it did not work.

Do you have a suggestion or idea to solve this problem? My phone is now dull and I miss the favicons so much, I use to see directly where to go to in the bookmarks.

Thank you for thinking with me, kind regards

Hi

Thank you for your question.

When you re-visit those websites again the favicons should reappear. Until that happens you should see a default favicon based on the address of the site.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

Seburo,

Thank you for youe suggestion.

I know "the problem of revisiting" but that is not the problem. Looking on the net there was a suggesting to empty the cach so I did but that doesn't help either. By the way you see this problem also (often) mentioned on the net specially with the FF browser.

There was an Mozilla app for reloading but that was a solution up to version 48. See more https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/faviconreloader/ and several questions on stack overflow.

Kind rgards,
