On Mac osx version 10.6.8, and Firefox 43.0.4, is there a way to get certain websites to interface to work as if I am running IE (without downloading IE?)?

PS: I have ordered osx 10.7, if that makes a difference. I am a travel nurse and need to be able to logon to a website to input my hours, and tech support tells me I need to use IE for it to work. I think my Mac is pretty maxed out on available memory, which is one reason I don't really want to download IE. Thanks.

Some websites require what are called "ActiveX", which only works in Internet Explorer. Also, if you are using a Mac there is no possible way for you to install Internet Explorer anyway (it only runs on Windows).
