There normally is a star on the main toolbar to bookmark the current page. Is that the one you're looking for?

Or do you mean on the built-in Firefox home page, the star icon at the bottom of the page which opens your bookmarks in the Library dialog?

That page has an internal address of about:home -- which you can copy and paste into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load. Does the icon appear there?

Here are two other ways to get to the Library dialog, just in case the star does not show up:

  • Command+Shift+b
  • Bookmarks menu > Show All Bookmarks

Does that help?
