How to change default pdf reader for firefox using config file?

I have a lot of PCs and i want to set by default Adobe reader (in firefox) using config file.

I know how to do it by standart firefox options. Options -> Applications -> Set prefered PDF reader.

But i'm too lazy to do it for more then 100 PCs.

You would want to set up a mimeTypes.rdf file and put that into the profiles. That is where the applications and plugins are set up.

hello Somiks, the default applications used by firefox aren't saved in about:config but in a file named mimetypes.rdf within the firefox profile folder.

In case you want to use the AR plugin in Firefox you also would have to check the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref and remove application/pdf because otherwise it wouldn't work. You can consider to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and set pdfjs.disabled to true.
