Firefox not remembering options settings
I have to set Firefox in options to not alert me to page redirects every time I use Firefox to go to my bank site. The site will not work when the alerts pop up to allow them, so I have to reset Firefox each time, and it is getting exasperating! Why can't the browser simply remember the settings I give it? I am unchecking them everytime I open Firefox to go to my bank site. I also have Rapport installed, but that isn't affecting my other browser settings, so I can't accept this is a cause.
I am using Vista 64 bit and this is on a limited account - as that is the only way you should be surfing the internet anyway.

Is the setting locked and unchangeable, or are you able to switch it in the Options dialog and have it remembered at least for the duration of your session?
We have a general support article on reasons that Firefox might lose settings between sessions (i.e., when you exit Firefox and start it up again). That's here: How to fix preferences that won't save.
We should add to the culprits programs like Advanced SystemCare that have a feature to protect you from unwanted browser settings changes by rolling them back between sessions. You may need to disable that feature in ASC if you have it or check avast! to see whether it does the same thing.
