Why Google logo and newtab page images dissapear?

Hi, I'm using OS XP, FF31and try to customize colors. When I uncheck the box next to 'allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above' and then click OK, I get a home page without Google logo, newtab page without images (only titles), web links with strange lines etc. I've disabled add-ons and plugins and scanned my computer for viruses without any success at all. I've even reset FF to its default settings, but the problem still remains. Can someone help, please?

hello SpyrosGeorge, thanks for bringing this issue up. that's actually a bug that developers are looking into currently: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1008583

If you un-ckeck the box to "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" then this also affects background images and elements on web page that are only drawn as a background image will disappear.
