Painfully slow after X time even after creating a new profile

And by slow i mean, when refreshing or going to a page either by hyperclick, home button, anything really. Just slow at loading...

anyone... i guess the solution is really another browser? its sad... i really like firefox

There is no confirmed solution.

I said I hope it is a bad problem because if for instance the problem is seen within minutes of creating and using a new profile it is quite likely something others may be able to quickly reproduce and so be able to investigate and fix.

As a programmer you probably realise that easily reproduced issues can be analysed faster, the cause identified and a definite solution be proposed.

We get long unsolvable forum threads with no solutions partly because multiple issues with a highly customisable multi platform Firefox all get discussed in the one thread. We often have difficulty gathering information needed to File a bug including good Steps To Reproduce and a Testcase. Without a good suitable bug being filed there is not even consideration of the possibility to attempt a coding solution.

Readers of such threads often think there is a single known unsolved big issue we will not investigate when what we are probably seeing is a collection of multiple and separate less frequent problems that happen to have similar symptoms.

Some of the problems may not even directly relate to Firefox. Take for example ABP (I note you do not use ABP, but 19 million Firefox users may) that has issues that may cause memory issues and slowdown. The Addon developer and Firefox developers are now working towards a solution for that issue

Forum Note Am correct to say OP own answers do not block the escalation of unanswered questions ? Does that still work if there are multiple OP posts. (This was unanswered 1st to 14th August but two OP bumps) (I will attempt to try out using our test server, If I remember - Can't test Zendesk pings myself, I can check forum filters)

Unfortunately i tested with and without ABP, no differences... i will be using another browser for the time being, just until firefox gets better (i promise :P)

I seriously hope that this will be over quite soon. By the way, my ram(8gb) and cpu(3570k) consumption is perfectly fine, i will still be using firefox for development, but for browsing i just can't, am sorry.

If the problem goes away initially when you create a new profile but comes back again minutes later until you again delete the profile it is a rather odd issue.

Possibly comparing the profiles would give a clue as to what is going on.

Whatever it is we stand no chance of fixing it from the description given without you wishing to attempt troubleshooting.

After creating a brand new profile, i have been browsing for some time now, with no extension, bookmarks and anything, its as fast as the other browser(starts with CH, obvious for some) i have been using temporally. I fear the problem is within the bookmarks, i will do further testing and tomorrow i will reply with a result.

Do you have any live bookmarks?
