What is Motive Extension?
After the last Firefox upgrade, a new add-on called Motive Extension asked to be installed on FF.
I had no idea where this came from or how it got in my computer. I selected no. Some days later,
while checking my add-ons, I found Motive Extension on the list, but disabled. But when I went thru
the plug-ins list, I found something called Motive Plug-in. I disabled it. Later I found another plug-in
called Motive Management Plug-in. Where did this come from? How did the plug-ins get on my computer
without me being informed? Especially after I said no to the add-on. Just what do these things do, anyway?
I don't know if this means anything, but the add-ons for Norton AV are missing.

Yes, I saw. Lots of questions, no real answers. On one thread, they were talking about it as if it was a hair extension. ? ! ? ! ? Some think it's from Microsoft. Well then, I'm going to dump it. Thanks for your help. Happy Holidays!
I've just installed this extension myself, the extension comes after updating the BT Desktop Help Application, BT is my ISP. Motive is software produced by Alcatel-Lucent specifically I believe for Internet Service Providers. You can get more information by going to their website http://www.alcatel-lucent.com/ I'm sure this extension is quite safe, if your still not sure ask your ISP.
Hi there. Thanks for the information.
