Can't open bookmarks unless I restart firefox.

Ever since I updated to firefox 12 I can't open bookmarks either through the bookmarks menu or the bookmarks bar unless I restart firefox. I used to be able to close firefox (without quitting) and everything would work fine when I opened it again. I have a mac book pro.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

maybe u should update to 13. could be an update problem. probably a bug though.
