How can I make the toolbar bigger so I can have more bookmarks in my header?

I would like to expand the depth of the toolbar so that I can add more bookmarks at the top. Currently I have the top line, which has the icons, url search, and a google search; Second line is bookmarks I've put in; third line has the tabs. I would like to add a second row of bookmarks...how do I do that?
