I dont see a start private browsing button on the firefox button

If you click the orange Firefox button, the "Start Private Browsing" option is on that menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+P to start private browsing.

I tried both of them but i still dont see the button. It only says stop private browsing, but its in a format so that you cant click on it

You are in permanent private browsing mode.

  1. Click the orange Firefox button then select Options
  2. In the Options window go to the Privacy panel
  3. For the setting "Firefox will", set it to either "Remember History", or if set to "Use custom settings for history", de-select the setting "Permanent Private Browsing Mode"
