Split view does not seem to work with tree style tabs

Using firefox 149 on windows 11 the new split view feature does not seem to work with tree style tabs. I have 3 tabs open, but no split view option. When I unhid the tab toolbar, I did see split view when I right clicked on a tab there.

Let me add that extension and see what happens.

After installing the add-on, the split view still works for me. see screenshot
