Bookmarks scramble or are deactivated after shutdown and don't work upon restart

lnj.olson

For about a month I've had to use Chrome because my bookmarks scramble or become unoperatable, then about 4 days ago they started saving again & all bookmarks worked fine. This lasted about 3 days then went back to becoming dead or wrong (may all say 1 or 2) sites I visit. a restart may lose any new bookmarks, & the rest of my bookmarks are either wrong site or dead links. How do I correct? I have tried new downloads & the new Firefox acts just like the messed up version. Probably a simple setting but I give up, can't find the solution. Any help appreciated. You have my permission to change any setting needed to fix Bookmarks. Thanks, James

Hi James,

Sorry for that. We can't change your settings remotely, but this article should help: Can't add, change or save bookmarks - How to fix.

Why is it that most times there is an update to Firefox, something else goes wrong. This time, all of the bookmarks are messed up. I rebuilt the toolbar three times, and they work for a day or two, then nothing works again. I'm beginning to think that the coders don't really have a clue. Maybe open source isn't the best way to go.
