All my history, windows and tabs completely disappeared after last update.
I opened my computer several days ago. Firefox updated itself sometime recently while my laptop was closed. Once I opened it, it made me create a profile to continue. Now ALL of my history is deleted. All of my windows and tabs are gone. There is no history beyond the profile it made me create to continue using it. Is there any way to get back the previous history? This is about enough to make me give up on firefox completely.

Can you post a similar screenshot of the files in a folder in your profile folder? The folder you're looking for in your profile folder is called sessionstore-backups. see screenshot of my folder 1st screenshot shows how to access your profile folder 2nd screenshot shows the files in my folder in a detailed view showing date time stamp.
