Mozilla display broken after suspend on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Same as the question.
The display shows some icons on the last tabs I opened but it seems only some basic website layout is loaded but all the details are gone. Like text, button borders, even the exit, fullscreen and minimize buttons. I have seen that this has been an issue for quite some time before so I am looking if there is a fix or a workaround. I have and Nvidia graphics card and drivers if that means anything. And my swap file is 20 GB and my RAM is 16 so the space shouldn't be a problem. It gets fixed when I turn off Firefox but not when I refresh tabs.
The crazy thing is that when I take a screenshot inside firefox (with firefox integrated screenshot option, like when I press right click and then take screenshot. I can see the text so it seems like it is a display problem but this only happens with firefox and not other apps.
Appreciate all the help. I will ask of ubuntu formums next if I don't find a solution here.

I was just wondering where are the screenshots of the issue. Would be better not to use Firefox built in screenshot (not a fan of it) because it only shows what's in the browser and not the entire window. I'm not seeing this issue on my AMD nor nvidia laptops. What desktop? Do you have the same issues on a different one? X11 or Wayland? Did you test by switching? Is your nvidia driver current?
Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla. Download, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
You can try Firefox from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution to see if it behaves differently.

I attached a screenshot of a private window of firefox with ChatGPT open. same happens on regular windows. Using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. My system is up-to-date. Using x11 and I don't really want to test a different one because I think that in the past i had to switch because of different problem connected to nvidia. I might try that some other time. My Nvidia driver is 495 and the only one that works from Ubuntu additional drivers repository.
Also I tried changing from x11 to Wayland but it seems I just can't. Tried changing configs and I don't have that "cog" on login screen so it might be that there is something faulty with my system but that doesn't bother me currently.

When I open in Troubleshoot mode the problem is gone. I tested my extensions (AdBlocker Ultimate and Video Speed Controller) but they don't seem to be the source of the issue.

The official didn't work also. Same problem when i get out of the suspend. BUT when I enter troubleshooting mode it doesn't happen. So the same problem as with distro version.
Some info AMD® Ryzen 5 4600h with radeon graphics × 12 Nvidia 1650 mobile
Try switching between your Nvidia and AMD Radeon graphics with the environment variable:
MOZ_DRM_DEVICE=/dev/dri/<device>
To see your graphics devices:
stat /dev/dri/*
Visit about:support in the address bar to see which GPU is active.
If that doesn't work, you may need to disable hardware acceleration.
