That message is issued by your mail providers outgoing mail server. It can have many causes, but as you do not mention who the provider is or what might have changed of late offering one would be nothing more than a guess. Perhaps you did not pay last month bill. Perhaps you are trying to send without entering a password. it could be any of hundreds of things.

Thanks Matt, it was just one email address that was causing this error. Once I removed it from the addressees the mail went through..... working well now
