Why do I get the google microphone symbol at the r hand end of my browse question. I d load firefox to get away from googles shit

Chosen solution

The audio input is not always on. The microphone does not record any audio until it is activated by tapping on it. If you do then it does use Google voice input to place what you said into the address bar.
