Description: In the mobile version of Firefox, the top browser toolbar containing the address bar does not hide when entering text into a text field. As a result, a significant amount of screen space is taken up, especially when the on-screen keyboard is open.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a page in Firefox on a mobile device. 2. Tap any text field. 3. Open the on-screen keyboard. 4. Start entering text. 5. Observe the top browser toolbar containing the address bar.

Actual result: The browser toolbar with the address bar remains visible while entering text and does not hide.

Expected result: When text input begins and the on-screen keyboard appears, the top browser toolbar should hide to provide more space for the content and text field.

Environment:

- Browser: Firefox for Android - Version: 153.0.4 - Device: Mobile IQOO Z10 - Screen orientation: Portrait

Attachment: A screenshot demonstrating the issue is attached to the report.

Additional information: The issue occurs specifically while entering text: even though the on-screen keyboard is open, the browser's top toolbar remains visible.

Cloudflare infinite loop on Firefox Nightly 134 vs missing bottom shortcut customization in Nightly 155

Hi Firefox Support / Dev Team,

I am writing regarding an issue with Firefox Nightly on Android.

The Problem:

I use Firefox Nightly v134 as my daily browser (134.0a1 - Build #2016052927). I really depend on the bottom navigation bar shortcuts because it has dedicated Back and Forward buttons next to the + button. This allows me to go forward and backward instantly without opening the three-dot menu, which is extremely convenient.

Recently, Cloudflare verification (challenges.cloudflare.com on sites like wallhaven.cc) stopped working in version 134. Every time I check the "Verify you are human" box, the page refreshes and asks me to check the box again in an endless loop.

Version Comparison:

Firefox Nightly v134: Has the custom bottom navigation shortcuts (Back & Forward buttons directly accessible), but Cloudflare verification is broken (endless verification loop).

Firefox Nightly v155: (155.0a1 - Build #2016178399) Cloudflare verification works, but the bottom bar layout/shortcuts changed and no longer displays the Forward button shortcut.

My Request:

Is there a fix for the Cloudflare verification challenge on version 134?

Or, if v134 is deprecated, could you please add the option to customize/restore the Forward button shortcut on the bottom navigation bar in version 155?

Device Info:

OS: Android 11

Affected versions: Firefox Nightly 134.0a1 and 155.0a1

Thanks for your help!

I have selected 'Dark/Auto' in my customization settings. I assumed this setting was meant strictly for the Firefox app UI theme, not to automatically force dark mode onto web pages. However, the issue now is that websites are being forcibly rendered in dark mode. I actually appreciate forced dark mode because it renders images and colored text cleanly without messing them up. The real problem is that I can't seem to find any option to turn it off. When I try enabling dark mode using a website's own native toggle, it displays inverted/negative colors, whereas light mode works properly. So my question and issue come down to this: how do I disable the feature that automatically forces dark mode on the websites I browse? (I haven't been able to find this setting anywhere.)

I'm using Firefox on my Android phone. I am looking for an extension that will suppress the little video in the screenshot that I will append to this question. I already have adguard and ublock but they don't seem to catch this. I wouldn't be as intent on suppressing it if the close box actually worked. Can somebody recommend an extension that can suppress something like this?

On Mozilla's bug reporting website, the bug title must contain at least 6 characters. If I enter a shorter title, for example "bug" (3 characters), and press the Submit button, nothing happens. The problem occurs when using the website in Firefox. I tested the exact same scenario in Google Chrome. In Chrome, after pressing Submit, the page automatically scrolls slightly upward to the title field and displays a validation message indicating that the title must contain more characters. In Firefox, there is no visible error message, no scrolling to the invalid field, and no other indication of what is wrong. As a result, it may appear as if the Submit button simply does not work. Steps to reproduce: Open the bug reporting website in Firefox. Start creating a bug report. Enter "bug" in the title field (3 characters). Fill in the description if necessary. Press Submit. Observe that nothing happens and no validation message is displayed. Expected behavior: Firefox should display the validation error for the title and ideally scroll to or focus the invalid title field, just as Chrome does. Actual behavior: Nothing happens after pressing Submit. The validation error is not visible, and the page does not indicate that the title is too short. Firefox version: 153.0.4 The same form works as expected in Google Chrome.

Hello!

I would like to report a UI display issue in Firefox for Android, version 153.0.4.

In the tab overview, the bottom bar displays the tracker-blocking information in Russian as “заблокировано 6 трекеров” (“6 trackers blocked”). However, the text does not fit in the available space and partially goes behind the three-dot menu button on the right, so the text is cut off.

I have attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Please check the layout and positioning of the bottom bar elements to ensure that the tracker-blocking text is fully visible and does not overlap with the three-dot button.

Thank you!

When i downloaded the app, it automatically came with the ability to group tabs, but after i customized several settings it took all of my tabs out of the groups and i can't group them anymore. The settings i changed ranged from privacy to personalization, i tried to reverse some of them to see if that would help and did a bunch of back and forth, but it's still not coming back. (Im trying to leave chrome because i noticed it had some very concerning lack of privacy settings that messed with my phone's ability to function properly if i turned them off. And Edge is worse.) Firefox seems better, but without the group tabs option it makes it waaaay too ridiculous to try and do any real work with it. I do a lot of multitasking and research and need to be able to bounce around and organize stuff. Your help stuff on tab groups doesnt say anything about how to turn it on or off. So... how do i get it back?

Firefox for Android uses phone layout on iQOO/Vivo Tablet – Nightly works correctly

Hello Firefox Support Team, I am experiencing a UI/layout issue with Firefox for Android on my tablet. Device information: Device: iQOO Pad 5 Pro Operating system: Origin… (read more)

Hello Firefox Support Team,

I am experiencing a UI/layout issue with Firefox for Android on my tablet.

Device information:

Device: iQOO Pad 5 Pro Operating system: OriginOS 6 HD Android version: Android 16 Firefox version: 153.0.3 Build: 2016176519

The problem is that the regular Firefox version does not use the proper tablet layout on my device. Instead, Firefox appears to use the smartphone/phone layout, even when the tablet is used in landscape orientation. The interface does not make proper use of the large tablet display and looks like the phone version stretched or displayed on a tablet.

The device itself is configured with a smallest width of 820 dp, so Android should clearly recognize it as a large-screen/tablet device.

Interestingly, Firefox Nightly 155.0a1 works correctly on exactly the same device. Nightly displays the proper tablet-optimized interface and makes appropriate use of the full screen.

Therefore, this appears to be a difference between the current stable Firefox release and Firefox Nightly rather than an OriginOS limitation.

Could you please check whether the tablet UI improvements/fix present in Firefox Nightly 155.0a1 are expected to be included in a future stable Firefox release, or whether there is a way to enable the same tablet layout in Firefox 153.0.3?

I can also provide screenshots showing the difference between Firefox Stable and Firefox Nightly on the same device if needed.

Thank you for your help.
