I am growing tired of the Fire Fox freezing up problem! I have done everything to removing all add ons to only the basic as in 4 extensions that are necessary to surf the web at basic level. The problem of FF freezing up continues.

The Freezing up problem where it literally freezes up Windows 7 or access to the computer requiring a reboot to regain control and access to Windows. The freeze always happens after accessing a known website that is very much trusted. This problem has been happening now for almost 2 straight years! One of the websites it crashed was my own personal website! It is not any particular website where the freeze happens. You go to a website and then boom out of the blue it freezes up. The last freezing up happened when accessing Webcrawler search engine. had used it a few times to search phrases then boom FF Freezes up. It has froze up with Google search engine as well. Places like ESPN, or local news websites. Youtube and the list goes on and on. There is no particular website that I can say it always Freezes up and crashes.

It is getting to the point that I have to use IE or Chrome to get work done because I can not trust FF anymore. I can not be working online and suddenly have FF freeze up requiring a reboot where all work done online is lost. This is a major problem and one that should be super high priority to fix. However, Mozilla support and tech people have done nothing! They have addressed nothing and have not even tried to fix this issue. I officially will be moving to Chrome for work away from FF as it is unstable and unreliable. I did this before back when FF 4.04 crashed a lot and did not return back to FF until Version 9.01 when IE was crashing and unstable at that time. I have talked to many friends and all are moving out of FF for the same reasons. Simply, FF is crap. It is unreliable and also has lots of comparability problems with internet security and anti viruses as well as problems with commonly used programs that are not a problem in other browsers. FF has fallen behind the curve of browser tech and programming. It is officially the next to last worst browser a person can use.

Mozilla programmers would do well to go back to the drawing board to make a newer platform that works flawlessly with Windows 7 through 10. 65% of businesses moved to Windows 7 but not upgraded to windows 10 because of the issues Windows 10 has with business sepcific software. Window 10 is more for people who use mobile devises as their primary means of accessing the net. Those that use computers or laptops find Windows 10 a problem and a pain.

As to solution you wish to give, Do not waste my time telling me to resync, check add ons or extensions or all the other common crap you have listed in the Troubleshooting section or help specific section on FF freezing, slow or crashing area. Nothing posted there works or is a valid solution with the ongoing problem.

Is the lockup happening on many websites? some, a few?

Please provide public links (no passwords) that we can check out.

Does this happen as you enter a website, after several minutes (how many) ?

Please check for any recent crash reports, and post them here.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

aboutcrashesFx29

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
