We have a e-learning website/database (www.flexbase.nl) where users have to pay for. The content is copyrighted and so it isn't free to download etc., so we would like to disabble the reader view in Firefox.

How can we do that?

Hello,

I don't think you can disable Reader View. Firefox will determine whether or not a page's content is suitable for Reader View and will allow the user to use Reader View if that makes sense.

Anyway, when people can access your website why would you want to disable Reader View? That wouldn't stop anyone from downloading or saving your content. If you want more information about Firefox's Reader View, here's the source code on GitHub .

Hi, type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to reader.parse-on-local.enabled and double click on it to change 'Value' from True to False, then restart Firefox. More - Configuration Editor for Firefox.
