How do I transfer emails stored in TB emails folder on C-drive back into TB

I have just had Vista reinstalled and lost all my stored emails from Thunderbird but they are in a folder in Users on the C-drive. Can I get them back into TB and if so how, please?

the addon page that says you have no addons has a cog looking thing on the top right click it and see an install from file option.

Thanks for replying but sorry, I followed the instructions on the download page (or tried to) but there is no Add-ons in the Tools menu and the Add-ons item itself just tells me that I have no add-ons. I know where the add-on is on the hard drive but I don't know how to use it!
