I moved, tried to get old wireless printer going. Had driver issues. Gave up bought newer printer. Somewhere in there Firefox or Windows updated. Wiped out all my passwords. I have gone and started putting passwords back in. Firefox says it's saving them, but it's not. I also had just connected firefox to my cell. I tried a history recover, which doesn't seems to work either. I have to go to Explorer to get into Ancestry account and now can't get into my Family Tree account. I'm so confused. My HP laptop is only 3 or 4 yrs old. and nothing is reading as a virus or bug. Any suggestions. I'm about to cry with all the information on here. I have backed up on external drive, but not sure that is going to work. HELP

My spell check generally doesn't work, but occasionally comes back to life, I have tried the about config, and change value to 2, I have tried uploading dictionary, and making sure check as I type is ticked, but the setting on config seems to keep reverting to 1, and I'm sure if I have successfully uploaded a dictionary, I clicked on language pack, Ironically while I'm typing this, my spell check is actively involved.

I hit the "Clear Private Session" icon, confirm, but then I have to go to:

Open Settings >

Privacy and Security >

Browsing Data >

Clear Browsing Data >

"Everything" (every check box has to be checked) >

Clear.

I have Firefox in permanent Private Browsing only, and Privacy and Security Settings are set to Strict / Do Not Fix any site problems.

Why does Firefox retain browsing site data even after I exit out of Fiirefox completely unles I do all of the above?

I'm getting popup ads that open a new page after I punch a link I hit the link and an unrelated page comes up inn addition to the link I intended to open. It even does that when I click on an email. Is there a way for me to stop this? This was happening before I upgraded to the version I'm on now.

1- Firefox shows I have windows 10. Not so. I have windows 11 home, version 25H2. This may be problem that causes the issues. 2- Since Update months ago, profiles, bookmarks and passwords disappear constantly only for me to replace manually the bookmarks and passwords to disappear over and over again. Don't need multiple profiles just one that works as in the good old days. Used it for years but cannot find help and ready to delete and just use microsoft edge. Totally out of patience. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hello, I find many quality of life things missing from the addon page !

First as search-as-you-type filter, where only addon with matching words remain visible.

Then a way to change the sort order Currently the sort order isn't clear On the first order it is enabled addons then disabled addons and 2nd order .. well it's not last added, maybe it's last updated ?

Anyway, the 1st order and 2nd order ordering should be modifiable

last enabled last updated last installed last active most cpu/memory/gpu usage by name of author by date of creation by last currently installed update by last available installed update by version number by homepage url by run in private tab state by run on restricted side state by count of access url by permission X state by number of permission by stored data amount by rating by rating count

And search 1st,2nd,3rd,4th order should be configurable and search should be able to specify the above terms like rating:>3 and so on

Also I would like a way to be able to install my non AMO plugin permannently easily or easier

Hi I've attempted to disabled the entire new block of 'Stories' but they continue to show up cluttering my screen. Why isn't 'disable' working? How can i get rid of everything except the search window and my single line of helpful links? Gary

i have tried anew profile got a the newest version and it still does not help i guess the people doing the updates have no idea how to fix the issue or care none of you can really help all the idea you have had i have tried and still i get the same Firerfox running but not responding' guess you will force me to go to chrome instead which does not do this nor does Edge so you can not tell me it is not a firebox issue because neither Chrome or hedge with by the way all the same desktop icons i have had for years work

How can I change preferred theme from light to dark with resist fingerprinting enabled? I already tried to change "layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override" to 2, but this did not help.

I’m honestly fed up with this issue. **How is this even acceptable?** Every time I update Firefox, or sometimes completely randomly, my entire Firefox profile gets logged out.

And it’s not just my Firefox account. **All the websites and services I’m logged into get logged out as well — including my email accounts and other websites where I have active sessions.** I then have to go through the ridiculous process of logging back into everything again.

This has happened **8 TIMES already.** Eight times! This is not a one-time bug or a minor inconvenience anymore. It is seriously disrupting my work and wasting my time.

I need to know **WHY Firefox keeps doing this** and why an ordinary browser update is apparently capable of destroying all my active login sessions. If this is a bug, it needs to be fixed. If it’s caused by a setting, update, or profile issue, then tell me exactly what is causing it and how to stop it.

I’ve used Firefox expecting it to reliably keep my profile and sessions intact. Having to repeatedly log back into my email accounts and every other website is completely unacceptable.

• • Please don’t just send me a generic “restart Firefox” or “clear your cache” response.** I’ve already dealt with this issue 8 times. I want an actual explanation and a proper solution.

Please take this seriously and investigate what is happening to my profile and login sessions.

I was creating two-factor authentication for my account and when I tried to create a passkey the only options were to use iPhone, iPad, or Android device, or Security key (see screenshot).

There's no option to add the passkey to a password manager (I'm using BitWarden).

I'm using Firefox Version 155.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11 (25H2).

i use firefox as my pdf reader. also tried the new AI beta. now when i try to open a pdf, it opens the AI window! Then I have to ask the AI to find and open my pdf file? this is not efficient. the only way i found to "fix" this was to look at settings for the AI and uncheck the box to have the AI not to load immediately. In other words back to original behavior without the AI? am i missing soomething? where do i send this info? I am not a programmer, i love firefox and just want to use it AND use the new features.

Since the last few updates, update frequency of title bar of inactive tabs slows down over time. Sometimes there is important info in title bar that should be updated frequently. Are there any flags in about:config that can be reverted to achieve that?

Hi, I believe this is some kind of bug/issue after the latest browser update (as I've quite literally never had this issue before). I like my launch page not to be cluttered with nonsense, no widgets, no activity, just my standard pinned shortcuts and the google search bar. However, after the latest update, "stories" have been on and have stayed on (despite altering all the settings that should get rid of it altogether). Even after turning it off, it appears it turns itself back on immediately. I don't want to see this junk and shouldn't have to, no one should, I even went to the trouble of blocking all topics in hopes the thing would just vanish. It did not. I hoped to report this to Mozilla more directly but couldn't find a meaningful bug report option. If anyone else has encountered this or if anyone has a true solution, I'd like to hear it, thank you.
