Yesterday when I tried to play a video on youtube on firefox browser, my computer freeze completely (can't even move the mouse) It keeps freezing even after 10-15 minute despite everything I try. Alt+F4, Ctrl+Alt+Del...doesn't work. Since my laptop doesn't have restart button, and I can't even shutdown with the power button, I have to remove the battery in order to shutdown and restart. Then I tried to clear cache and everything, updating my firefox and flash player, even did some virus scanning, but it happens again. I then tried in safe mode, but this time the computer freeze and restart! This never happens to me before. At first I suspect some sort of virus, but then I tried to play youtube video on Google Chrome and it works just fine. I still prefer to use Firefox, but I'm not sure what to do. Can someone help me please?

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.
