Enter key no longer works in address bar

Hi, In the last couple of days, the enter key no longer works in the address bar, which is really annoying !

If I type the address I want to go to, and then hit "enter", nothing happens. I have to manually click on the "go to" icon to the right of the bar.

Is this a setting I can change back please, I certainly haven't done it knowingly or willingly, and it is really spoiling my web use on FF. I am on 3.6.13.

This issue can be caused by an extension (AVG Safe Search) that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

May be worth clearing your cache, it may just help, Tools -> Clear Recent History = cache, everything

Try clearing browsing data and If this doesn't works try reinstalling the firefox browser, that will surely get you through.

Thanks gents, but I have cleared the cache, and reinstalled FF but it still hasn't fixed it. The enter key works fine, and works in the address bar for ie, but still will not in FF ??
