Privacy and security Browsing data question
When I have "Clear cookies and site data every time you close Firefox" option checked, does that also clear the sites that I have added to the "Manage exceptions" option? I had added a few sites to that dialog box and clicked "save changes" and the next time I launched Firefox ans went to add a site to the exception that list was blank. Why? Is having the "Clear cookies and site data every time you close Firefox" option set also clear that exceptions list when Firefox closes?
How would I set up Firefox to clear all the cookies except for the sites I had put into the "Manage exceptions" dialog box?

Some exceptions indeed get cleared if you check "Site permissions" as the kind of data you want to have removed on shutdown — however if you add a site as an exception there in the shutdown sanitizer settings, its site permissions (incl. exceptions) should also be excepted and stick around.
Check if you're setting up the right list, e.g.: support.mozilla.org/questions/1599215 and support.mozilla.org/questions/1599157 — or if you're actually saving the exceptions support.mozilla.org/questions/1610643
