Window becomes invisible after previous session restore

ebardet

Hello there,

I realized that quite often when I restart Firefox (Developper Edition) and restore my previous session (latest occurence with 46 tabs), the window becomes invisible. It still exists, and I can even see it in the Window menu list pointing to my latest tab but it's nowhere on screen. I can add/navigate through/select/remove tabs using the keyboard, I can see them listed on screen when I Ctrl-Tab but the whole window remains invisible.

It'd be great if someone could help me out.

Best regards,

Emmanuel

Aren't you on some recent macOS 26.x Tahoe versions? There have been similar reports, where the system seems to misplace the windows "somewhere".

Once you're "focused" on the window (e.g. via selecting its tab via the Window menu), if you do View › Enter Full Screen (Command + Control + F), does it reappear? So that you can then exit the fullscreen via the window traffic lights or the same key combo, and have a usable window then?

Hi, thanks for your réponse.

Yes, I’m on latest macOS version 26. However, that occurred on earlier versions too. I tried maximizing or re-arranging half left or right but the window remains invisible.
