I like firefox, but I have to switch browsers to watch any type of video. When I try to load a video on firefox, it turns black and never loads.

It might be some antivirus or security software interfering, a privacy addon, or a GPU/driver issue — I'd start with restarting to Troubleshooting Mode to get a baseline and continue from there: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
