ftp and firefox
I tried to use a ftp link setting firefox as the default ftp app, not realizing firefox no longer supports ftp. I am unable to reset the default app and can't find the setting to do so. I downloaded filezilla and wish to set it to be the default app for ftp. Can someone help me with this? Before anyone suggests it, resetting firefox to default settings is not an option.

Hi Wayne,
Can you confirm for me the following?
- What version of Windows you are using?
- That you are looking to change the default program for opening ftp extensions away from Firfox?
If Windows 11:
Open the Settings app by clicking on the Start button and selecting the gear icon, or by using the Windows key + I keyboard shortcut.
In the Settings app, click on "Apps" in the left-hand menu.
In the Apps settings, click on the "Default apps" option in the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to the "Default apps" section, and click on the "Choose default apps by file type" option.
In the list of file types, scroll down to find the ".ftp" file type.
Click on the currently associated program (Firefox) and choose Filezilla from the list of available programs.
Close the Settings app.
If Windows 10, go to Settings > Apps > Default apps, then search for "ftp" in the search bar at the top and select the program you want to set as the new default from the list
Hope this helps!

This was my first attempt. The system couldn't find it after I posted it. That's why I posted it a second time.

I am using Windows 11 version 25H2 (64-bit), and my firefox version is 145.0b1 (64-bit). I found the option the second time I looked. Don't know why I didn't see it the first time. Thanks for the help.
