I can't do an upgrade. Get a message "Page isn't redirecting properly

more options

I have Sketchbook Pro on my surface pro. An upgrade is available, but when I try it I get a message "The page isn't redirecting properly"

It continues, "Firefox had detected the server is redirecting the request for this service in a way that it will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies,"

To my knowledge I have done nothing with cookies on Firefox. I don't even know how.

I'm curious how Firefox got involved. Did an upgrade link launch in Firefox because it's your default browser?

Often that message indicates a problem with cookies: Firefox reaches a page that didn't get the credentials it expected so it sends you back to another page that doesn't see the problem, round and round.

Do you have your privacy settings for cookies on the defaults (accept both first and third party cookies) or have you changed them?

You also can try clearing the site's cookies. While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button

In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Thanks for trying. I did find and delete cookies for the site, but I still couldn't get the upgrade.
