Single mouse click interpreted as double click leading to inadvertent double deletions, etc.
Didn't have this problem before recent updated version. When I click on the delete button, two messages are often, but not always, deleted. When I click on a message to review it, it will often open in a new tab rather than allow me to review in the pane below the headers.

Does it only happen in Thunderbird? It sounds like a mouse issue. Try updating your mouse drivers.
