firefox blocks web sites for no apparent reason and that are used frequently.

hello capejax, can you be more specific please and expand on the issue - on which page is it happening or is it a universal problem, is it happening reproducibly or intermittently, and most importantly which kind of error message are you getting? which security software is running on your computer?
Using Norton Security via comcast error message is "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page. The message occurs on frequent site visits. no apparent site categoroy. could be a bank, a travel agent, etc.

In the past I had the utmost respect for Firefox and Mozilla but I am at the point where I will have to use another browser. Firefox is blocking safe sites and after downloading Firefox 29 I have pages from "The best of the latest Firefox" that I cannot close out or delete I tried to get a new Firefox home page but failed, so I downloaded a Google page.
Why can't I get the Firefox problems fixed?
