can i undo the update i did today..things are not working right..

I did the update today that was recommended..now things don't load correctly..i have uninstalled and reinstalled java trying to fix the problem..i do not want to uninstall and reinstall firefox because i do not want to lose all my bookmarks and passwords..can i just undo the update..
