I'm on windows 7 64 bit and when I try to bookmark a site by double clicking on the star icon on the address bar, the bookmark box flickers on and off and just disappears afterwards. I've done some investigation and have found that the default theme is the cause. I have installed a different theme and the problem goes away so that is why I am sure of the root cause. Anyone with any ideas on how to fix this? I like the default theme!

Try unchecking the box next to "Use hardware acceleration when avaliable" in Options. Worked for me!

On Windows 7 you should be able to create the bookmark with a single click on the star. Try a single click instead of a double click.

It drove me crazy too. But here is the fix! Tools>>>Options>>>Advanced>>>Uncheck "Use Hardware acceleration when available" That is the end of the flickering bookmark box. I am not sure if there are instances when you might want to return that setting. Anyone know of an instance?

Unchecking the hardware acceleration seemed to work for me too.
