FF does not save bookmarks

I was always saving and editing my bookmarks in the side bar. Starting from one of the recent upgrades, all my edits disappear if I restart FF.

Any help is much appreciated.

You may have a problem with the places database file that stores bookmarks. For details on fixing that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved
