Saving a Recovery Key in Password Manager?

Doña Toña

So, now I've followed your previous advice and reset my password. I've gotten into my Firefox account, which is nice. I've set a Passkey and a Recovery Key. Your site suggests saving the Recovery Key in a Password Manager. So, I downloaded it to do so. But, your browser won't save the pdf that it downloaded! It wants a csv file. What do I do now? Other than write it down, which I've already done, but, that didn't work last time. Both my password and my passkey were unrecognized, which is what got me here and now.

Thanks again, Toña

Hi,

You cannot save a file in the password manager. Instead, copy and paste the value directly.

And just a note that you shouldn't rely on this method much, as (in some cases) you may lose access to both your account and your local Firefox data.
