Thunderbrid can't load emails
What appears to be random, I get the message: The account myname@verizon.net is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages. Then about 2- 3 days later TB dumps days worth of emails from the Yahoo server (Yahoo services verizon.net). I also have a second email account on an old Windows 7 computer and I do NOT get this hang-up. The settings are IDENTICAL on all the TB accounts.

I tried booting is Safe Mode and it did not help. I moved all my Trash emails from the TB Trash folder to a Local folder and even hit Empty Trash (even though it was empty). Re-loaded TB, but still get the same hangup.
BTW, I can read my mail on the Yahoo web-page, but it is a pain to use. If this is not solved what email software can I load that is similar to TB.
My email account is from Cox Communications. They sold their email business to Yahoo about 18 months ago, and getting it set up on Thunderbird was a pain, entirely because of the additional steps Yahoo requires (allegedly at the request of third-party client software like Thunderbird!)
Several time since then my ability to receive my email on both Thunderbird and iPhone Mail has been stopped for days at a time with the message "The account [myusername]@cox.net is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages." Eventually it comes back. Today it has been 8 days for this outage.
