calendar gone from thunderbird
using win 10 .Now on 52.8.0 update , lightning will no longer work, any way to retreive files please . is any calendar available to use with thunderbird as found lightning very useful .All my appointments have disappeared. Thanks in advance

I tried again and must have found a different version of lightning and hay presto everything returned .Thanks everyonek

Lightning is an add on. You check status and install them from the add on tab. Open the add on tab and click Extensions. Is lightning listed but disabled? Enable it. If lightning is not listed at all you need to install it. Enter lightning in the search box and install.
Unfortunately on the mozilla site it says " lightning is incompatible with thunderbird 52.8.0. I had already looked . Thanks for trying.
Delete ("remove") it, then re-install it, using the search box in the Tools|Add-ons|Extensions pane. .
There definitely a working version of Lightning. My instructions said nothing about visiting a Mozilla site. Did you follow them to install lightning?
