So when I did this "Access for less secure apps has been turned on" I was able to log into TB. What is This , what did I do? Thank you christ1
opps tried to log on to TB today and got the same error. Looking in remembered passwords i find nothing for TB. I even reduced " allow less secure apps" on the computer so I am locked out again

I even reduced " allow less secure apps"
No idea what that means.
TY Christ1 You can see from my post of 4/29 that lowering the" Less secure apps" worked till I tried to log on today. 4/30
Apps that don’t support the latest security standards include:
The Mail app on an iPhone or iPad that has an outdated operating system..mine is 11/3/1 The Mail app on a Windows phone before the 8.1 release Some Mail apps not built by Google that come with your phone.....do not know how to check this. But since it worked yesterday I dont think this is the problem Some Desktop mail clients, like Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird
To keep your account more secure, we might stop less secure apps from opening your account. If so, you have two choices:
" Update to a more secure app that’s up to our security standards. All Google products, like Gmail, use the latest security measures."
....Where do i find this option?
" If you want to continue using an app you're familiar with, go to Less secure apps. To let these apps use your Google Account, turn on Allow less secure apps."
....I even changed from less to allow all
Would uninstalling and reinstalling TB help?

" Update to a more secure app that’s up to our security standards. All Google products, like Gmail, use the latest security measures." ....Where do i find this option?
The only option from Google's perspective is to use webmail, and abandon Thunderbird. The alternative would be to set up your account as IMAP, where you can use OAuth2 authentication. You're already using that for the outgoing server. Using OAuth2 is considered 'secure' by Google, and you can avoid the 'allow less secure apps' thing all together. Another possibility is to set up 2-step authentication, which is a good idea in general, and significantly increases security. However, it seems too complicated for many users.
Would uninstalling and reinstalling TB help?
No, you'd just be wasting your time.
Without any of the above options you'll have to 'allow less secure apps'. Since this is already in place now the problem must be something else. Please read the support article linked above. It was posted for a reason. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1215657#answer-1106572
