How can I disable mouse wheel tab scrolling?
Greetings,
I'm trying to find a way to disable the mouse wheel tab scrolling. I don't use it and it causes me grief when i reach up to select or close a tab and the mouse wheel happens to be coasting cause i just scrolled to the bottom of that page.
To be clear, I don't mind that the tabs are scrollable, I just don't want the mouse wheel to scroll them, I can use the arrows. Also I do not have Tab Mix Plus installed, so it's not that. Does anyone know if/how this can be changed?
Thanks, Joe

This sounds like just the normal function of the mouse.
Sounds like you have double clicked or held the scroll wheel down to long.
I think if above is right just double click or hold down the scroll wheel and it should turn off.
You can go into Windows Settings Control Panel for Mouse and that may or may not be able to turn that off.
Fyi: Your Flash is out of date. https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Hi Pkshadow, thanks for the response. I get all that, and like I said, it's just something that happens when I've fast-scrolled to the bottom of the page and then reach up to click a tab, while the mouse wheel is still coasting.
I'm just wondering if there is a way within Firefox to disable the feature that allows the scroll wheel to scroll the tabs back and forth (when you have more than will fit on the screen). It's not a big deal, and it's not something that's "wrong" with firefox, but it would be super handy to have the ability to toggle it on and off. I don't use it, and it causes me issues, but I assume other people do, and find it useful, so it would be really helpful to have the ability to turn it on or off.
It looks like there are about 60 settings in about:config with the word "scroll" in them.Maybe it's in there, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knew before i started messing around with those.
Thanks for the heads-up on flash being out of date!
Thanks!
