Thunderbird separating alias by rules to leave one on server for wife
I have two email addresses, one is an alias that my ISP provider cannot separate from my main address. So I had to use Windows Live Mail, as it has rules that can leave one address's emails (my wife's) on the server so I get mine, but she can then get hers without getting mine. In Windows 10 the Mail program has no rules, so if we used it we cannot separate the emails. Can Thunderbird do rules the same as WLM? I am desperate for a new email program now WLM support is ending!

Set up separate accounts. Aliases are more trouble than they are worth.
Neither of you have to use your ISP for email, either.
