find feature changed, now "locks" even after navigating to new pages.
The find feature used to function such that, if your search came up empty on one page, when you navigated to another page (such as the next page in an online manual etc.) you could repeat the search by just clicking the down arrow. Something recently changed that such that now once the search comes up empty, even if you navigate to a new page you have to erase at least one letter of the search and retype it. This adds considerable time to a search for a key term in multiple pages.

If I'm understanding correctly:
- you open the Find bar and do a search with no results (red bar)
- then you load a new page into the same tab, which has text that matches what's in the Find bar
- the up and down buttons (previous and next match) remain grayed
Yes, I see that. I don't know of a way to set Firefox to automatically run the find again in the new page, but I usually press the F3 function key to re-run it. Ctrl+g ("Find Next") also works.
