I can't install Firefox or update it because my company's group policy prohibits 7zip installs.
Title says it all. In the past i have been able to download the 7zip install file, extract the .exe, run the .exe and it works. Now it seems another program downloads ANOTHER 7zip archive that is being blocked. The installer deleted my previous version so now I'm stuck. Can I please get a non-7zip version of your software, otherwise I wil be forced to abandon it. I don't want to but my company isn't going to change their policy. thanks.

Seburo,
Thanks. That actually didn't work but I downloaded the version from here. I checked with IT and they don't have an issue with Firefox, just 7zip.
Thanks.

Hi
You should be able to download the .exe file from here, however I recommend that you speak to your companies IT support team before potentially breaching a company policy.

For windows users as of Firefox 53.0 there is a new online stub installer that will allow user to install 32-bit or the 64-bit version if they have 64-bit Win7 or later. This is being served to Windows users on www.mozilla.org
https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/53.0/releasenotes/
The full setups for Windows are at www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ as you found.

I think that all Firefox installers are self extracting 7ZIP archives and files get extracted in the Windows temp folder. You may have to download and install Firefox via an other computer and copy the installation directory to an USB stick if you are sure you aren't breaking any policies with installing Firefox.
All,
The problem has been SOLVED. Please see my post above for a fix. The native installers can be found here. No 7zip archives at the page referenced in the hyperlink.
